Meet Derek Lennon

After graduating from the University of Colorado, Derek chased the endless winter as a ski instructor and ski guide in the US, New Zealand, Canada, and Chile. Derek has experienced mountain towns all over the world, but it’s Big Sky that he and his wife, Mia, decided to call home - and they have no plans to leave.

 

Derek is truly passionate about the endless mountains, wild rivers, abundant wildlife, and fresh air of the Greater Yellowstone Ecosystem. For years, Derek worked as a backcountry ski guide with Big Sky Backcountry Guides and as a ski instructor and guide at Big Sky Resort. When he's not spending time with his family and dogs, Derek can be found exploring the never-ending mountain playground of Big Sky Country.
